For the fall we are excited to have another season of our field hockey league for girls entering grades 2-8. The goal of this league is to grow the youth program, love the game, and promote teamwork and good sportsmanship..
Grades 2-4
The 2-4 girls will be introduced to the game, positions, rules, learn how to move on and off the ball, and build game sense. Each week the girls will participate in 1 practice and 1 7v7 game (4 home and 4 away) each week. This is a fantastic opportunity not only for our youth but to build and advance the WHS program! We are also in need of coaches, if you are interested in helping for this level, please reach out to Corinne Varhley at

Each week the girls will participate in 1 practice and 1 game (4 home and 4 away). This is a fantastic opportunity not only for our youth but to build and advance the WHS program! [email protected] IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL REGISTERING FAMILIES!
As the success of the Westfield PAL youth athletic programs has continued to grow over the past several years, the need for volunteer help has continued to increase. Going forward, we are asking all participating families to play a small role in helping out our volunteer coaches, staff and directors.
As a condition of your child's registration with the PAL, at least one parent or guardian for each participating family (who isn't on the coaching staff) may be asked to assist during practices, games or match days at some point during the season. These non-coach volunteers will be part of a support pool managed by a team parent with volunteer schedules set at the beginning of the year.
Assuming full participation, we don't believe this will be a huge ask, especially considering our coaches and directors will be putting in countless hours of work on a weekly basis. If there are days you are unavailable to volunteer or have a special circumstance that prevents you from volunteering, please note this in the Team Staff section and we will try and accommodate your situation.
For field hockey this includes: Assisting with practice, helping the sideline on game days, helping the goalies get their equipment on, time clock, fundraising, and end of the season celebrations. If you are interested in being an administrative team parent or coach, please note that in the Team Staff section of registration or email
